optimum place for growth and metabolite synthesis. Altitude will impact on
microclimate, soil nutrient and soil condition. Environmental factors will affect
piperine content of Piper betle L from Wonogiri. The Research was conducted in
Wonogiri regency for specimen collected with six altitude range, 0-150 masl
350 masl (District Batuwarno and Baturetno), 400 - 500 masl (District
Slogohimo), 510 - 550 masl (District Jatiroto), dan 560 - 650 masl (District
Karangtengah). Analysis of all specimen it has carried out in Laboratory of
Structure Biology and Plant Function Faculty of Science and Mathematics
Diponegoro University. The research used completely randomized design (CRD).
