Telaah ilmiah dan patologi paparan asap rokok terhadap penyakit jantung
Asap rokok pasif adalah sebuah permasalahan kesehatan global yang menyebabkan lebih dari 41.000 kematian di seluruh dunia per tahunnya. Hal ini disebabkan oleh sejumlah penyakit mematikan yang dapat disebabkan oleh asap rokok pasif, antara lain penyakit jantung, kanker paru, serta stroke. Berbagai penelitian mengemukakan bahwa sedikit apapun paparan asap rokok, tetap dapat meningkatkan risiko penyakit jantung. Asap rokok mengandung sejumlah zat kimiawi seperti formaldehid, benzena, vinil klorida, amonia arsenik, hidrogen sianida, serta hingga sejumlah 7000 zat lain, di mana setidaknya 70 dari zat-zat tersebut memiliki sifat beracun serta karsinogenik. Algorithmic reason :the new government of self and other
Are algorithms ruling the world today? Is artificial intelligence making life-and-death decisions? Are social media companies able to manipulate elections? As we are confronted with public and academic anxieties about unprecedented changes, this book offers a different analytical prism to investigate these transformations as more mundane and fraught. Aradau and Blanke develop conceptual and methodological tools to understand how algorithmic operations shape the government of self and other. While disperse and messy, these operations are held together by an ascendant algorithmic reason. Through a global perspective on algorithmic operations, the book helps us understand how algorithmic reason redraws boundaries and reconfigures differences. The book explores the emergence of algorithmic reason through rationalities, materializations, and interventions. Provinsi Sumatra Utara sebagai daerah penghasil padi nasional keenam memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung swasembada pangan nasional. Program Desa Mandiri Benih yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Provinsi Sumatra Utara sejak tahun 2015 bagaimanapun juga masih memerlukan pemantauan dan evaluasi berkelanjutan secara berkala. Penulisan buku ini merupakan salah satu cara atas upaya tersebut. Advanced modelling with the MATLAB reservoir simulation toolbox (MRST)

Bioeconomy and global inequalities
This open access book focuses on the meanings, agendas, as well as the local and global implications of bioeconomy and bioenergy policies in and across South America, Asia and Europe. It explores how a transition away from a fossil and towards a bio-based economic order alters, reinforces and challenges socio-ecological inequalities. The volume presents a historically informed and empirically rich discussion of bioeconomy developments with a particular focus on bio-based energy. A series of conceptual discussions and case studies with a multidisciplinary background in the social sciences illuminate how the deployment of biomass sources from the agricultural and forestry sectors affect societal changes concerning knowledge production, land and labour relations, political participation and international trade. How can a global perspective on socio-ecological inequalities contribute to a complex and critical understanding of bioeconomy?
