Policy Review : Access to Health Care Service and Health Insuranve among Migrant Workers in Thailand

Evidence gathered from both primary and secondary sources consistently indicates that national policy and some strategies and measures since 1992 with regard to cross-border migration and migrant workers especially illegal or undocumented migrants, present many problems in terms of administration and management, and there are gaps that need to be addressed. Enforcement of laws and regulations focusing on the control of migrants movement for reason of national security and social stability are having an adverse impact on migrants and dependents quality of life. The disruption of their everyday life gives rise to corruption and violation of basic human rights of the migrants.
